When waterproofing below grade, there are many ways to install and different products to use.  Your MMR representative will be able to help you choose which product will work best for you.  The process usually consists of cleaning debris from the concrete, applying a sealer or adhesive and then applying a waterproof membrane to the concrete.  Once the membrane is applied, backfill is added to the finished grade level.

There are many ways to waterproof a shower pan or bath tub but the most common is hot moppet asphalt.  Over the substrate a layer of base is installed and then ply sheets are mopped down in layers with hot asphalt between.  Once the last layer is applied then a flood coat of hot asphalt is spread over the entire surface to create a waterproof pan.   If the shower pan was built without positive water flow it can be created by installing tapered edge over the substrate before the hot asphalt is applied to get the water to flow properly.
